Job Title: Pet Trainer - Philadelphia

At PetSafe Brands, we are passionate about the well-being of pets and their owners. As a Pet Trainer, you will play a crucial role in providing expert training services to our customers, ensuring their pets receive the best possible care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide training for pets using our recommended methods and techniques.
  • Support customers in following up on training sessions and reinforcing procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with customers about training goals and equipment usage.
  • Display a thorough understanding of our products and their applications.
  • Set up and adjust transmitter and receiver equipment for training sessions.
  • Explain the importance of proper receiver fit and maintenance.
  • Utilize our Dealer Tool to track system settings and pet usage.
  • Maintain and clean company vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including timely arrivals and friendly interactions.
  • Collect necessary paperwork and payments for additional services.
  • Maintain inventory and stocking of training materials.
  • Assess customer pets for suitability with our solutions and report any potential issues.
  • Build relationships with customers and create self-generated leads and Google Reviews.
  • Exceed customer satisfaction levels and troubleshoot system issues.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
  • 1 year of pet training experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve practical problems.
  • Technical skills to use cellular phones and recording notes.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk regularly, with occasional climbing, balancing, and crawling.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and professionalism.
Accountabilities:
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Exceed customer satisfaction levels by resolving issues and creating win-win-win solutions.
  • Annual certification for Perfect Start Plus pet training.
  • Submit customer reports and notes to management.
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
Relationships:
  • Develop and enhance customer relationships with Branch associates.
  • Report directly to the Area Manager or General Manager.
  • Work with IFB FSS to schedule appointments.
Hours:
  • Available to service customers between 8am-6pm, Monday-Saturday, with last appointment availability starting at 6pm on a rotating schedule.
  • Available to work 2-3 Saturdays per month.
