Dining Room Supervisor Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch. As a Dining Room Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent service and customer satisfaction in our various dining and catering venues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the daily supervision of service staff to ensure excellent service and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with the administration of daily special and catered functions, including the use of the private dining room and/or areas within the main dining room.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of catered events, including the coordination of catering responsibilities and the management of sanitation functions.
  • Ensure the proper greeting and seating of all Members and guests.
  • Manage and administer all sanitation functions and responsibilities of the service staff, including sanitation task assignments, quality assurance of equipment temperatures, maintenance of chemical inventory and par levels, and staff training in chemical safety.
  • Prepare and maintain records, reports, and paperwork regarding Dining Services operations.
  • Supervise cleaning and set up of dining areas.
  • Assist with on-the-job training and orientation of newly assigned service staff.
  • Assist in implementing and coordinating department policies and procedures, with particular focus on service.
  • Assist with scheduling of service staff.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two (2) years of proven experience in the administration and management of all phases of service, catering, and front of the house operations.
  • Sanitation certification training and certification required.
  • Knowledge of processes for providing customer service, assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation regulations.
  • Comfortable in providing direction and supervision to dining staff.
  • Proficiency in understanding of computer software as it relates to the job.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Empathetic, enthusiastic, and able to work with a diverse senior population.
