We are seeking a highly motivated Radiology Technician Assistant to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Assist technologists during procedures to expedite the best diagnosis for patients and deliver quality care.
- Evaluate patient prescriptions to ensure the proper exam is performed for individual ailments.
- Order and complete all necessary Cerner functions.
- Prepare patients for procedures and perform exams with technologists.
- Retrieve x-rays, medical records, and nuclear medicine reports as needed.
- Clean exam rooms and restock materials after procedures.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and some healthcare experience. Previous experience in radiological services, knowledge of human anatomy, and knowledge of department procedures are preferred.
Working ConditionsThis role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with significant occupational risk and exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste.
