Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Danbury, Connecticut. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for taking diagnostic radiographs of patients while maintaining patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and greet patients, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Responsible for the care and safety of patients, adhering to strict protocols.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for x-ray and fluoroscopic exams, ensuring accurate positioning.
  • Determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions, shielding patients accordingly.
  • Produce high-quality x-rays, adhering to quality control standards.
  • Assist with training students and ancillary personnel, promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Interact professionally with patients and family members, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Complete all work before clocking out and leaving, ensuring a seamless handover.
  • Attend annual hospital reviews and departmental inservices, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Practice medicine and surgical aseptic procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Be proficient in either mammography, operating room, or another specialty modality, expanding your skill set.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • Continuing education, 24 CEU credits for license, ensuring ongoing professional development.
  • Minimum experience: one year, with a strong foundation in patient care.
  • Desired: experience with patient care in a radiology setting, specialty certification, and a strong commitment to quality patient care.
