Adjunct Faculty in Advanced Manufacturing

Mid Michigan College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Advanced Manufacturing Faculty member to teach courses in assigned disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and be able to develop and deliver effective course content.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned classroom courses in Advanced Manufacturing disciplines.
- Develop and update syllabi for courses assigned, ensuring content meets college and accreditation requirements.
- Develop assessment tools to determine course effectiveness and ensure student outcomes are achieved.
- Assess student academic achievement and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain classroom records, including student attendance and grades.
- Hold office hours for student meetings and assistance.
- Communicate with full-time and adjunct faculty, as well as other college departments.
- Attend staff meetings and in-service programs.
- Support college mission, vision, and student service initiatives.
- Adhere to college policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Knowledge of course content and learning objectives in assigned disciplines.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective course content and facilitate a learning environment.
- Knowledge of computer and educational technology, with ability to integrate technology into the classroom.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Journeyman's Card preferred.
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree or 4,000 hours of work experience in manufacturing required.
- One year of teaching experience or 4,000 hours of professional work experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Normal classroom and laboratory environments with minimal discomfort.
- Course assignments may include day and night classes, as well as online or high school environments.
- Ability to travel to Harrison and Mt. Pleasant campus locations.
