The Carrier Compliance Analyst plays a pivotal role within the organization, reporting directly to the Carrier Compliance Manager. This role is essential for ensuring that all transportation carriers engaged by the company meet the necessary qualifications as per established company standards. The Analyst will assess, scrutinize, and approve the utilization of motor carriers within their assigned authority level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess new motor carriers recommended by the Operations team.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and compile motor carrier data from governmental and third-party resources to confirm compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with Operations and motor carriers to facilitate the accurate completion of all relevant transportation agreements.
  • Verify insurance and other essential documentation.
  • Monitor current carriers and update their information as required.
  • Analyze and authenticate information provided by motor carriers and sourced from external entities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of FMCSA and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Collaborate with Operations on matters of motor carrier qualification and disqualification.
  • Maintain organized internal files for motor carrier qualifications.
  • Be prepared for the assignment of additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a professional office environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to learn, comprehend, and apply knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and other relevant federal regulations pertaining to the transportation sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to manage time-sensitive projects while maintaining flexibility in work tasks.
