**Job Summary**

The Hub Group is seeking a skilled Capacity Planner to join our team. As a Capacity Planner, you will be responsible for analyzing Driver Optimization solutions and assigning loads to HGT capacity within an assigned geographic territory.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement market plans to maximize driver utilization and minimize costs.
  • Analyze Driver Optimization solutions and assign loads to HGT capacity in compliance with federal safety regulations.
  • Support the development of market plans and execute daily execution of all inbound and outbound loads for an assigned geographic territory.
  • Re-plan loads when necessary due to delays, equipment failure, or driver issues.
  • Collaborate with Intermodal Operations and Network Optimization to maximize equipment utilization and driver productivity.
  • Proactively work with Terminal Operations, Intermodal Operations, and Account Management to confirm capacity coverage in advance of anticipated customer requirements.
  • Plan and implement initiatives to improve routing and equipment utilization consistent with customer expectations and Network needs.
  • Monitor and report on established metrics, including loaded miles, driver utilization, service, safety, and cost per load.
  • Resolve all outstanding load planning issues and communicate effectively with the afterhours team.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2-3 years' experience in transportation operations (truckload or intermodal).
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems in a large corporate environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter.
  • Availability for weekend coverage on a rotating basis.

**Available Schedules:**

  • Tuesday-Saturday
  • Sunday-Thursday
