Job Title: Criminal Justice Instructor

Job Summary:

Laredo College is seeking a qualified Criminal Justice Instructor to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in criminal justice, including law enforcement, corrections, and forensic science.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and teach courses in criminal justice, including law enforcement, corrections, and forensic science.
  • Prepare and administer exams, quizzes, and other assessments to evaluate student learning.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students, including tutoring and mentoring.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of criminal justice and incorporate relevant research and best practices into course instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve student learning and success.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in criminal justice or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time, 9-month position. The successful candidate will be required to work on campus and may be required to work outside of regular working hours as needed.
