Position Overview
This full-time role involves managing the processing of vehicle transactions, ensuring accurate documentation for the accounting department and facilitating the legal transfer of ownership through the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle registration processes for both new and pre-owned vehicles within the state.
- Prepare necessary tax and title documentation.
- Submit all required legal transfer documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Verify that all funds have been collected and post electronic fund transfers.
- Ensure accuracy in applications and trade documents to confirm completeness of information.
- Maintain a verification system for out-of-state titles.
- Compile and track a comprehensive list of outstanding title work, reporting any issues to management.
- Sign over titles for wholesalers upon full payment and prepare monthly reports on any outstanding funds.
- Manage the preparation of P-Units, including posting to accounting and inventory systems.
- Coordinate the annual renewal of dealer tags with the accounting department.
- Stay informed on title regulations and participate in relevant training and seminars.
- Provide cross-training for colleagues to ensure coverage of title clerk responsibilities.
- Oversee daily operations of the title runner.
- Maintain a professional workspace and appearance.
- Process credit card transactions and manage the postage machine.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
This position is primarily office-based, requiring up to six hours of sitting daily, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, with expected hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and occasional overtime as needed.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, with one to three years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
