Automotive Parts Specialist

As an Automotive Parts Specialist at O'Reilly Auto Parts, you will provide exceptional customer service to retail and installer customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction with their shopping experience. This role involves supporting store management in achieving assigned tasks and promoting company customer service programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Promptly greet customers in a friendly and courteous manner, assisting them in selecting merchandise.
Follow and promote all company customer service programs, including Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, and Rock the Call.
Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide excellent service to customers calling the store on the phone, answering calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts, and quoting prices.
Maintain and secure the cash drawer, accepting cash and/or checks, making accurate change, and processing credit card transactions.
Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receipt, stocking shelves, fronting, and facing.
Perform various daily operational tasks, such as preparing new, core, and warranty merchandise returns for shipment to the distribution center, assisting with monthly stock adjustments, and inventory cycle counts.
Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after corresponding training is completed and company requirements are met.
Perform in-store services for customers, such as installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, and replacing headlight capsules.
Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries when business needs dictate.
Requirements:
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service.
Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
ASE certification.
Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish being highly desired.
