About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Success Manager to join our team at Cengage Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the client and partner journey, including onboarding and proactive touchpoints at strategic intervals.
  • Assist priority clients through technical support needs as required.
  • Ensure clients and partners have everything they need to successfully renew each year.
  • Collaborate with Student Operations to ensure needs forecasting is fulfilled appropriately.
  • Manage Salesforce and other database information related to client success and metrics vital for reaching goals.
  • Develop standard methodologies for a new team, scalable for client success going forward with growth.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and Go To Market teams to ensure client success, growth, and renewal.
  • Follow up in a timely manner on all client inquiries.
  • Take the initiative to thoroughly learn the market (competitors, products, and services available).
  • Use knowledge of company products and services to provide client and reseller partners with information and promote cross and upgrade product sales.
Requirements
  • Two or Four-year college degree desired.
  • 2-4 years professional business-to-business sales/customer success experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Proven successful experience with pipeline management and examples of growth in external relationships.
  • Strong account management, customer service, and sales skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent business collaborating skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Detailed-oriented, well-organized, punctual, and able to keep up-to-date records on accounts and opportunities.
Preferred Skills
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Salesforce – strongly desired.
  • Experience with Healthcare and/or Manufacturing clients.

Compensation

At Cengage Group, we offer a comprehensive and rewarding Total Rewards package designed to support and empower our employees. The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
