Job Title: PRN Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated PRN Speech Therapist to join our team at Advanced Neurologic Rehabilitation. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal communication outcomes.

Job Summary

The PRN Speech Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating adults with congenital, developmental, and acquired neurologic impairment or disease. You will establish a plan of care based on examination findings, patient goals, and best available evidence, and execute this plan through the delivery of interventions consistent with current evidence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Evaluate and treat adults with congenital, developmental, and acquired neurologic impairment or disease.
  2. Establish a plan of care based on examination findings and identified impairments and functional limitations, patient/caregiver goals, and best available evidence.
  3. Execute plan of care through the delivery of interventions consistent with current evidence.
  4. Perform regular reassessments of patient progress to determine effectiveness of treatment plan and selected interventions.
  5. Communicate with the patient, caregivers, physician, and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care and progress toward goals and provide education to the patient, their family members, and caregivers regarding the patient's condition, home exercise program, and prognosis.
  6. Complete documentation of services provided according to industry standards promptly.
  7. Advocate on behalf of the patient for provision of services and goods that would improve the patient's function and/or quality of life and reduce burden of care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduation with a Master's degree in Speech & Language Pathology.
  • Current CCC-SLP or CF-SLP license in the state of Arizona.
  • Current CPR certification.

Beyond these requirements, we are looking for a candidate with:

  • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
