The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) plays a crucial role in the Tulane University Campus Health team, dedicated to supporting and promoting student health and well-being as a core institutional value. As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the APRN provides clinical services, referrals, and health education/literacy to students.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Tulane University Campus Health. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing, completion of an ANA-approved Nurse Practitioner program with either an AANC or AANP certification, licensure as a Nurse Practitioner from the Louisiana State Board of Nursing, and one year of experience in a clinical outpatient setting.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services, referrals, and health education/literacy to students.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including charting for billing components.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence in providing out-patient procedures, including but not limited to: Incision & drainage, removal of foreign bodies, laceration care, wound care, fluorescein eye exams, and liquid nitrogen treatment for select dermatologic conditions.
  • Counsel patients on medical and/or psychological problems, preventive care, and refer patients for medical and/or other treatment when appropriate or indicated.
