About the Role

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Analog IC Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Mixed Signal Design group, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-speed analog circuits for our optical communications products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, layout, measure, and productize ultra-deep sub-micron-based CMOS products.
  • Lead efforts for large blocks on complex chips, mentor team members, and track deliverables.
  • Participate in peer review of complex IC designs and provide solid design methodology from conception to production.
  • Collaborate with packaging and hardware design teams to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met.
Requirements
  • BSEE degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent, an MS degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent.
  • Design, simulation, and measurement of high-speed ICs in at least 3 areas: High Speed Serial Links, Voltage Regulators, and High Performance Output Drivers.
  • Experience with FinFET technology, high-frequency layout, and design for manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of Cadence (virtuoso), Spectre/APS/SpectreX, and layout validation tools (Virtuoso or Calibre).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct experience with electrical transceiver applications, including backplane and cable communications.
  • Experience with laboratory validation, including solid ESD laboratory practices and methodology.
