About the Position

The Director, Opportunity Youth will lead the development, refinement, and implementation of the Foundation's Opportunity Youth initiatives. This role requires a national leader with experience in building scalable solutions to address the complex challenges faced by opportunity youth. The successful candidate will have a track record of driving impact through collaborative partnerships with government leaders, the private sector, and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a national portfolio of investments focused on innovative, scalable, and sustainable pathways for social and economic mobility for opportunity youth.
  • Drive and shape investments that lead to impact while maximizing economic opportunities available to opportunity youth.
  • Steward relationships with existing partners and intermediaries, ensuring grantees have the resources needed to succeed in meeting their goals.
  • Evaluate ongoing program strategies, results, and metrics, making recommendations for strengthening the impact of the portfolio.
  • Serve as a leader in the space, driving and collaborating on national strategies with corporate, government, and non-profit sectors.
  • Cultivate cross-sector partnerships with business leaders, policy-makers, and other opportunity youth-focused organizations.

Requirements

  • Ten years minimum of leadership experience in the private, public, and/or nonprofit sector(s), with a demonstrated commitment to providing more people access to opportunities.
  • Track record of success working and building collaborative partnerships with government leaders at all levels, the private sector, other funders, nonprofit advocates; and community stakeholders.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, paired with strong analytic skills and the ability to synthesize information.
  • Proven ability to lead and be part of an entrepreneurial team, effectively coaching and managing others.
  • Familiarity with the youth field and related services, including understanding issues youth and communities face, and knowledge of public and private funding streams.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The Foundation offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
