We are seeking a dedicated Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to enhance our clinical team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive activities program tailored to promote therapeutic leisure skills and enhance leisure education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage patients in a variety of therapeutic activities, including exercise, games, and community outings.
- Assist patients in developing essential social skills for independence.
- Adapt activities to meet the unique needs of different groups.
- Facilitate engaging activities such as:
- Art projects (painting, coloring, collages)
- Music sessions
- Yoga and mindfulness practices
- Board games and puzzles
- Group games (e.g., volleyball, basketball)
- Community outings

Employment Details:
- Full-Time position (40 hours per week); facilitating group activities three days a week.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or a related field is required.
- Current CTRS certification or in the process of obtaining national certification; specialty certifications (Art, Dance, Music, etc.) are also acceptable.
- Ability to comprehend and adhere to policies, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Physical ability to manage patients, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
