Key Responsibilities:
As a systems engineer, you will assess and analyze combat weapon systems through advanced analytical tools, including Excel, MATLAB, and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM). Your technical knowledge will play a vital role in the evaluation and modernization of these systems. You will enhance your capabilities in critical thinking, data analytics, and operational analysis while gaining experience in the constructive modeling and simulation of combat operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in scenario development and conducting analytical assessments of combat weapon systems using mission-level constructive simulation tools such as AFSIM, Suppressor, ITASE, or NGTS.
- Familiarity with various commercial and government-off-the-shelf modeling and simulation tools, including MATLAB, C++, Perl, or Python, for data manipulation and post-processing.
- Experience in developing AFSIM scripts to tailor model behaviors and decisions within analytical scenarios.
- Knowledge of U.S. and international combat weapon systems, including both aerial and ground-based air defense systems.
- Ability to apply principles of Operational Analysis to execute study plans and analysis matrices.
- Possession of a Top Secret clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Preferred Skills:
- Capability to analyze extensive raw model outputs to identify significant drivers.
- Skill in summarizing and articulating complex technical insights and findings.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
Clearance Requirements:
Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a Top Secret clearance is mandatory.

Compensation:
Compensation is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, and experience. The typical salary range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 annually.
