Work Schedule: This position typically operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with alternating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria and ensure timely reporting of accurate test results to support quality patient care.
- Conduct routine and complex technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to maintain optimal functionality, including performing preventive maintenance and quality control.
- Exhibit sound judgment in making technical decisions related to testing and problem resolution.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field is required.
- Certification from ASCP or AMT is preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in computer usage; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must pass a standardized color vision screening.
- Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed.
