Job Summary

Midlake Products is seeking a skilled Laser Welder Operator to join our team. As a key member of our welding department, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining laser welding machines to produce high-quality metal components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate laser welding machines to join metal parts according to engineering drawings and work orders.
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal welding quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect welded components to ensure they meet quality and technical specifications, making repairs or adjustments as required.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laser welding equipment and ensure it is in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate protective gear while operating welding equipment.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings and inspection results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required. Vocational or technical training in welding is preferred.
  • Able to be a productive Laser Welder from day one with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of laser welding techniques and familiarity with different types of metals and their properties.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and welding symbols.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address machine issues and perform routine maintenance.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials.

  • Welding certification or relevant technical training.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication, inspection tools, and equipment.
