TotalMed Allied is seeking a skilled Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Cath Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting with various medical procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other interventional radiology procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing patients for procedures, including positioning, draping, and administering medications
- Operate and maintain complex medical equipment, including fluoroscopy machines and angiography systems
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or complications during procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth procedure execution
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures, including patient information, medications, and outcomes
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist or Radiologic Technologist
- Experience working in a Catheterization Laboratory or Interventional Radiology department
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
