Job Overview

GiaCare Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in support of the Veteran Administration Heart of Texas Health Care Network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, transfers, and appointment scheduling as directed by healthcare staff.
  • Take and record patient vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
  • Administer medications, including injections, under the supervision of a licensed physician, PA, or APRN.
