Job Title: Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Office Assistant to join our team at Primrose Schools ®. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide exceptional support to our staff, students, and parents.

Job Summary:

The Office Assistant will be responsible for maintaining a healthy and safe environment, communicating positively with students, parents, and staff, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a professional, technology-savvy individual who can work collaboratively with our team to promote the well-being of our school and its community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with student files, name tags, and labels.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
  • Communicate positively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Participate collaboratively with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school.
  • Perform office duties, including filing, maintaining children's files, updating the website, and parent communications.
  • Answer phones and provide a presence at the front desk.
  • Track or record all activities that take place at school.
  • Assist with orientation for new employees and students.
  • Occasionally provide in-classroom coverage for teaching staff.
  • Support local marketing strategy to generate and retain enrollment.
Requirements:
  • Two or more years of similar or related experience.
  • Prior experience working in a school environment preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older (21 and up preferred).
  • The ability to professionally communicate effectively and positively.
  • Must be able to obtain cooperation (internally and/or externally) is essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize email and the Internet.
  • Must be able to do basic math.
  • Must be able to provide all relative clearances and training required by the State of Virginia.
