Job Summary

The Medical Assistant Float plays a vital role in assisting physicians in assessing, examining, and treating patients. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with patient assessments, examinations, and treatments
  • Manage patient flow and coordinate diagnostic procedures such as EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vital signs
  • Act as a liaison between physicians and patients to ensure satisfaction
  • Maintain and order supplies for the area as needed
  • Work regularly at 5+ different locations within the assigned area
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Experience in a physician office or healthcare setting preferred
