Medical Support Specialist

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in the patient care team at Middlesex Health. Under the direction of the Practice Manager, this professional performs various clinical duties and assists Providers to ensure timely and effective care for each patient. Confidentiality is maintained at all times.
This role may also involve general administrative tasks as directed.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical duties as directed by the Practice Manager
- Assist Providers in delivering patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Medical Assisting Certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- 1 year experience working with electronic health records
- 1 year office-based physician practice experience
