Position Overview:
The U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Acquisition Procurement Analyst. This role is pivotal within the Program Executive Office, focusing on Combat Support and Combat Service Support.
The selected candidate will be instrumental in providing expert guidance and strategic advice to the Program Executive Office (PEO) and Project/Product Managers (PM) regarding acquisition strategies and the procurement processes associated with complex major weapon systems.
Responsibilities include managing a diverse range of contracts, from engineering and management services to research and development, ensuring compliance with various contract types including cost reimbursement, cost-plus fixed, incentive, and fixed-price contracts.
The position demands a profound understanding of procurement laws, regulations, and contracting methodologies to effectively engage in both pre-award and post-award procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations that influence the development and execution of complex, long-term acquisition programs.
- Coordinate with inspection, review, or audit teams to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Evaluate and assess ongoing procurements for high-value, long-term acquisitions.
- Advise Project Managers on the formulation of Source Selection Evaluation Plans and criteria.
- Participate in procurement planning meetings, offering strategic insights.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) level in the Federal Service, which includes:
- Drafting and developing enforceable procurement documents and acquisition requirements.
- Preparing government pre-negotiation cost objectives and analyzing contractor proposals.
- Reviewing government contract negotiations for hardware and services.
- Coordinating program management actions within established timelines and budgets.
Applicants must possess the necessary credentials for Contracting Profession certification within a specified timeframe upon entry into the role. This position is part of the Army Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Workforce.

This role is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation aimed at recruiting qualified candidates for positions within the competitive service. Direct Deposit of Pay is mandatory. Candidates may be required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entry and annually thereafter.
