Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team at O'Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS). As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine the appropriate welding process.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
  • Familiarize yourself with and comply with all safety requirements and protocols.
  • Operate forklifts and cranes as needed.
  • Read and interpret simple blueprints.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, including hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banders.
  • Use measuring tools, such as tape measures, box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers.
  • Convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
  • Convert metric to English.
  • Provide high-quality work to internal and external customers.
  • Set up and operate one or more processing machines.
  • Speak, write, and comprehend conversational English.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Must pass a MIG welder certification.
  • Relevant apprenticeship, experience, or vocational training (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 20-50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, sit, stand, twist, and stoop for long periods.
  • Ability to walk 2-5 miles throughout the shift.
  • Good vision of 20/30 with corrective lenses.
  • Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.
