We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder I to join our team at O'Neal Manufacturing Services (OMS). As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials using various welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and diagrams to determine the appropriate welding process.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness.
- Familiarize yourself with and comply with all safety requirements and protocols.
- Prepare materials and set up for welding devices or robots.
- Support the safety and quality programs by following established processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Our MIG Welder I will work a standard Monday-Thursday schedule from 5AM-3:30PM, with Fridays reserved for overtime when necessary. Our fabrication facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including lasers, oxy burners, machining centers, welding, and forming tools.
Requirements and Qualifications- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
- Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools, including hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, grinders, and banders.
- Ability to use measuring tools, such as tape measures, box calipers, slide dial calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
- Ability to convert metric to English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Must pass a MIG welder certification.
- Relevant apprenticeship, experience, or vocational training (preferred).
