A Financial Consultant is fundamental to the wealth management relationship and must exhibit a comprehensive understanding of all client-related functions, including planning, investments, insurance, retirement analysis, taxation, and estate planning. Responsibilities include developing, supporting, and managing assigned client relationships. The candidate should think creatively, strategically, and tactically; communicate effectively; and identify suitable solutions for each client's unique situation.
The Financial Consultant will operate under the guidance of the firm's principal to ensure a consistent message and exceptional level of care for our valued clients in a timely and team-oriented manner. By collaborating with the firm's esteemed clients, the Financial Consultant will focus on making significant contributions to both client and firm growth, ensuring that both new and existing clients receive the highest quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide training and mentorship to team members in financial planning and business development.
- Offer investment, planning, and operational support as necessary.
- Collect, input, and analyze all essential client financial data, both independently and collaboratively.
- Conduct final reviews of all meeting materials.
- Develop and present financial plans and investment strategies tailored to individual client circumstances, adhering to the firm's planning processes and investment methodologies.
- Maintain involvement in clients' investment strategies and recommend appropriate actions based on their goals and needs.
- Review client insurance coverage and provide analysis and recommendations to the assigned client base.
- Conduct scheduled client review meetings to identify planning needs and opportunities.
- Analyze new financial strategies and legal changes to assess their impact on clients.
- Collaborate with clients' other professional advisors to deliver comprehensive advice and service.
- Work with the team to enhance the firm's policies and procedures, focusing on excellent operations and client service.
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned client relationships.
- Coordinate with support team members to manage the Total Client Experience.
- Follow up on qualified prospects in collaboration with the team and firm principal.
- Identify and pursue referral opportunities, particularly with centers of influence.
- Complete backup duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CFP designation is required.
- Series 7 license and state health, life, disability, and variable annuity licenses.
- Preferred experience in financial planning.
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Effective follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
This job description does not restrict management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.
Benefits: Three weeks of vacation to start, increasing to four weeks after ten years; generous paid sick leave; 401k with a 4% employer match; one floating holiday per year; half-day Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day; holidays off; and paid parking.
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 based on experience and capability, plus bonuses.
