Position Overview

The Director of Business Intelligence will leverage extensive experience in data analysis and strategic consulting to lead BI initiatives for a diverse range of enterprise clients within the health and wellness sector. A key aspect of this role involves utilizing various data sources to not only illustrate the business impact of our media and marketing campaigns but also to convert these insights into actionable strategies for our clients.

You will report directly to the VP of Business Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

While each engagement presents unique challenges, typical responsibilities include:

  • Establishing professional relationships with internal and client teams, ensuring high-quality communication and deliverables.
  • Collaborating with internal and external partners to develop measurement plans that align with client objectives and address challenges with clear success metrics.
  • Overseeing the development of business rules and engagement parameters, participating in the scoping process with Finance and Operations teams.
  • Managing internal data sources and third-party vendors to maintain our custom measurement platform, ensuring adherence to timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Transforming available data into insights regarding program effectiveness in influencing target audience behavior, while identifying optimization opportunities.
  • Utilizing insights to create presentations, reports, and various client deliverables in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Identifying opportunities for consultative selling to expand our presence with existing clients and participating in new business development initiatives.
  • Contributing to business growth through organic development and assisting in the acquisition of new business.
  • Demonstrating experience across multiple facets of the client base, including healthcare professional and direct-to-consumer media, data integration projects, and third-party partnerships.
  • Applying differentiated experience in developing measurement frameworks for various clients, including diverse analytics methodologies and evaluation recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive understanding of how clients utilize their multi-channel marketing strategies to engage customers.
  • Proven experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously, addressing the diverse needs of a varied client base.
  • Experience in guiding the career development and daily operations of junior team members.
  • Proficiency in business IT software, particularly MS Excel, with the ability to perform complex functions.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy and Datorama.
  • Willingness to travel as client needs require, typically around 10 to 15% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a related field, is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in data analytics consulting or quantitative marketing/analysis, particularly within healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences.
