Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics Unit

Firelands Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Implement the nursing process with patients, including carrying out physicians' orders regarding diet, medication, and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Perform assessments, monitor, and ensure quality care through observation and evaluation; document nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and report findings to physicians as needed.
• Instruct patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans, and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Respond to emergencies; maintain availability of medications and supplies; ensure cleanliness of equipment and environment.
Requirements:
• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
• Current ACLS, Basic EKG, and PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Board certification is preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.
