Dietary Server: Hrly PT

Job Highlights:

As a Dietary Server at Firelands Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver meals to patients in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that their dietary needs are met. You will work closely with the nursing staff and dietitians to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver meals to patients in a timely and efficient manner

Check NPO status with Nursing utilizing Server Round Sheets

Conduct introduction rounds while collecting and completing menus with patients prior to each meal

Enter meal orders and deliver trays from holding cart on a continuous basis (follows scripting)

Read menus to patients as necessary

Communicate with nursing and dietitians regarding special patient needs/concerns

Check unit floor supplies and create floor supply list based on par levels

Organize and clean patient refrigerators, discarding any outdated or opened items, non-patient food and any items without a label

Report pertinent information to the Diet Office Operators

Collect dirty trays from assigned units and check nursing units for soiled carts

Bring carts to the dishroom and document intake of fluids, carbohydrates, and calorie counts

Break down dirty trays to be washed

Assemble and deliver floor stock orders for the assigned unit

Requirements:

Ability to read and write small letters and numbers

Ability to communicate and understand written and oral communication

Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations

Ability to lift 30 pounds and be mobile

Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required

Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident-free workplace, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes

Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment

Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms

Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period
