We are seeking a skilled Nurse Clinician to join our Cardiology team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and education, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and reporting deficiencies to supervisors immediately.
- Provide pre-attending care for patients, performing comprehensive assessments and documenting all nursing assessments in the patient's medical record.
- Perform routine nursing duties, including phlebotomy, medication administration, and measurement of vital signs, demonstrating clinical competency in complex specialty-related procedures.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care, triage and prioritize incoming telephone calls, and manage urgent/emergent medical situations.
- Initiate and coordinate patient education, ensuring patients understand educational materials and can exhibit return demonstration when pertinent.
- Associate's degree in nursing
- Registered Professional Nurse licensure in the State of Illinois
- Certification in Basic CPR
- Two years of relevant clinical experience in an acute or ambulatory care environment
