Job Title: Family Planning Clinician

Planned Parenthood of Illinois is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Planning Clinician to join our team. As a Family Planning Clinician, you will play a critical role in providing reproductive health care services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide well-person care to patients with contraceptive needs and assess their physical and psychosocial status.
  • Conduct contraceptive education and medical interviews, including medical history and responding to client queries.
  • Perform laboratory screening and microscopic examinations, conduct pelvic examinations, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Provide contraceptive supplies and therapeutics, and educate patients on their use.
  • Participate in health center efforts to achieve fiscal goals, revenue, expenses, and contribution margin.
  • Comply with all organizational quality assurance guidelines and federal regulations, including OSHA and CLIA.
  • Participate in PPIL research activities to contribute to furthering the field of evidence-based reproductive health care.
Requirements:
  • A registered nurse holding a current license in the State of Illinois, with additional didactic training to qualify as a nurse practitioner.
  • Current license as an advanced practice nurse in the State of Illinois.
  • Previous work experience in a family planning clinical setting preferred.
  • Commitment to the efficient and customer-oriented provision of services, as well as commitment to the operating goals of Planned Parenthood of Illinois.
  • Willingness to participate in a team approach to health care delivery and travel within the area if necessary.
