Job Title: Quality Control Associate

Fathom Mfg is seeking a Quality Control Associate to support the inspection activities at our facilities. As a key member of our quality team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct visual and dimensional mechanical inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Work with external vendors to outsource quality inspections as needed.
  • Read and interpret engineering-level mechanical drawings to establish accept/reject criteria and revision status.
  • Conduct first article and final inspections to confirm compliance with specifications in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identify and document non-conformances, initiate Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Notify appropriate personnel of potential product rejections.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, and accurately inputting data into our quality database.
  • Perform inspection-related tasks as directed by customer requirements, the quality department, or upper management.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving activities.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all manufacturing departments.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Participate in team member training, internal audits, and other quality-related activities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in a relevant field or technical certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of related work experience.
  • Experience with MS Office and Adobe.
  • General knowledge of CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with both metric and imperial unit systems.
  • Working knowledge and application of measuring tools/equipment (e.g., caliper, micrometer).
  • Working knowledge of inspection equipment required.
  • ASQ Certification is a plus.
  • Print reading and/or GD&T training is a plus.
  • CMM Operations or knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Able to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Must read and write English.
