Job Summary

Kolaboration Ventures is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Concord, CA. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our customers, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel have access to the property.
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Five years experience in the security industry preferred.
  • One year experience in retail, customer service, and/or hospitality required.
Competencies
  • Demonstrates proficiency in sound decision making and defensive tactics.
  • Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
  • Attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Duties may include sitting and standing or walking in inclement weather conditions.
  • Ability to occasionally lift items not to exceed 20 pounds.
Required Certifications
  • Possesses a VALID BSIS Guard Card.
Other Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a post offer, pre-employment background check.
  • Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene.
  • Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts and store location assignments.
  • Must be on time and ready to work when scheduled with reliable transportation.
  • Valid California Driver's License or State issued ID Card required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
