Job Title: Expanded Learning Program Instructor

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Expanded Learning Program Instructor to lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay Expanded Learning Programs. As a Program Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment for up to 20 youth in an afterschool setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that support school day learning and promote youth development.
  • Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development, using a youth-driven curriculum approach.
  • Model Bay Area Community Resources' Best Practices and promote a culture of social justice and leadership.
  • Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment for all participants.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree or higher, or 48 or more college units, or pass the Instructional Aide exam (High School Diploma or GED required).
  • Must pass criminal background check and TB test clearance.
  • Available Monday through Friday, 22 hours per week, with a flexible schedule that includes afternoons and evenings.
  • Ability to reliably commute to San Pablo.
  • Commitment to social justice and leadership, with a passion for learning and youth development.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
