Pediatric Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at At Home Healthcare. As a Pediatric Bilingual Speech Language Pathology Assistant, you will work closely with our pediatric patients and their families to provide exceptional care and support.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans set up by a Speech-Language Pathologist, providing speech therapy and rehabilitative services to clients with language/communication disorders, swallowing disorders, or other related problems.
  • Work under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist, carrying out the plan of care that provides speech and language disorder services under their guidance.
  • Maintain current knowledge of client's condition through observation, documenting any changes in client condition to the client file, and immediately reporting any changes to the supervising speech-language pathologist.
  • Consult with the supervising speech-language pathologist regarding changes to the plan of care as appropriate, implementing changes when written and authorized by the client's physician.
  • Consult with the supervising speech-language pathologist regarding the client's progress and response to treatments.
Qualifications:
  • Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge attained through graduation from an accredited speech and audiology program.
  • Must have and maintain current license as a speech-language assistant, including maintaining observation and supervision records.
  • Requires ability to speak, read, and write English accurately.
  • Must have and maintain a current valid Texas Driver's License and proof of current liability insurance.
  • Must submit to annual TB screening and maintain current certification in basic life support (CPR).
  • Computer software skills necessary to produce accurate documents and materials required, with a working knowledge of MS Office preferred.
  • Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds continuously to move objects.
