Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements engaging early childhood educational activities using diverse materials to foster the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical growth of children.
  • Collaborates with educational leaders to develop and execute age-appropriate curricula and programs.
  • Creates a nurturing environment that encourages positive interactions among children, youth, and adults.
  • Facilitates and leads planned activities for participants, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere.
  • Utilizes approved techniques for child guidance and youth development during interactions.
  • Maintains professional relationships with staff, parents, and community members.
  • Assists in tracking program participation and completing necessary reports.

Additional Duties:

  • Prepares and organizes indoor and outdoor activity spaces to align with daily schedules.
  • Supervises children in various settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assists in providing nutritious snacks and meals as required.
  • Performs essential caregiving tasks, including attending to children's physical needs and conducting health checks.
  • Completes reports and engages with parents regarding children's progress.
  • May undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and a minimum age of 18.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to foster effective relationships with children, youth, and colleagues.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and perform various physical activities.
  • Preferred: Previous experience working with children or youth.
