Job Title: Development Associate

Job Summary:

The University System of New Hampshire is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Associate to provide administrative support to the Advancement team. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking budgets, managing projects, and providing exceptional customer service to internal and external constituents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively maintain overall high-level Advancement plan for the year
  • Update communication calendar spreadsheet by obtaining information from project leads
  • Act as traffic controller for the group, proactively reminding team members of deadlines and goals
  • Manage Keene State Today deadlines and collect edits, and be liaison with Adv. Team and BI
  • As assigned, manage deadlines and collect edits with other communication projects, and be liaison with BI and/or Marketing
  • Manage general phone line and email, communicate and field incoming requests from alumni and other constituents

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience involving progressively responsible duties
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high acumen for budget oversight and finances
  • Proven organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to assess and triage office traffic
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office systems, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and relational databases

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Administrative support experience at the executive level, preferably in higher education
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, knowledge of Raiser's Edge systems, and budget management
  • Experience hiring, training, and managing students
  • Experience working with boards a plus
