We are seeking a skilled CDL-A Boom Crane Operator to join our team at DriveTime Transports. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a boom crane to transport precast concrete and other heavy materials within a 200-mile radius of Denver, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a boom crane to transport heavy materials, including precast concrete, within a 200-mile radius of Denver, CO.
- Ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment and vehicles, as required by company and federal regulations.
- Log hours of service (HOS) on an electronic logging device (ELD) tablet mounted in the truck.
- Secure loads and ensure proper load securement, adhering to all regulations and company policies.
- Participate in safety programs and maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including vendor pickups, rail loads, and backhauls.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid CDL-A license and a TLL NCCCO Certification (Telescopic Boom Crane-Swing Cab).
- Experience with construction and/or heavy machinery is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission and drive a Class A truck/trailer through various environments, including off-road conditions.
- Ability to read and navigate a map.
- Background check required for occasional deliveries to military bases.
