Position Summary: We are in search of a seasoned Purchasing Manager to enhance our Tampa operations. This role requires a dynamic and personable individual to thrive in one of the most rapidly expanding firms within the stone sector.

As a Purchasing Manager, your primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing the procurement process, identifying suppliers, and managing vendor relationships to ensure a smooth supply chain while optimizing costs. You will collaborate with various teams, make informed strategic decisions, and implement best practices within our procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies and policies aimed at cost reduction and improved supply chain efficiency.
  • Assess, evaluate, and select suppliers based on their quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and commitment to ethical and sustainable practices.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous pricing and payment conditions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to comprehend their needs and align procurement activities with organizational objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to remain informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing changes.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including ongoing performance assessments and resolution of issues, while fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Monitor inventory levels, analyze demand trends, and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Introduce procurement systems and tools to enhance process efficiency.
  • Source and negotiate with potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities against established criteria.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics, and cost savings to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement sustainable sourcing practices, supporting local suppliers and promoting ethical procurement.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with applicable laws related to procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing management role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement principles, strategies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Indian market, with familiarity with local suppliers and sourcing channels.
  • Proficient in budgeting, cost optimization, and negotiation techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience with vendor management and inventory control systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
  • Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience with global sourcing and logistics best practices.

Work Environment: This position is full-time, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends as necessary. The work setting is primarily office-based.
