About the Role:

Guthrie Public Schools is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our district-owned facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on district-owned facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on district-owned equipment and facilities to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
  • Be responsible for the care and maintenance of district-owned tools, leased vehicles, and materials used in the performance of assigned tasks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and Crew Chief to prioritize maintenance tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Maintenance or the Director of Support Services and Crew Chief.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in HVAC and/or electrical systems preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
