Primary Care Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Clinician to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. As a key member of our medical services team, you will provide comprehensive primary care to our patients, including sexual and reproductive care. Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including history review, health education, physical examination, counseling, diagnosis, and treatment according to protocols.
- Formulate a diagnosis/differentials based on the history, physical examination, and diagnostic test results and information.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate.
- Prescribe medications as needed.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Manage patient follow-up appropriately per policy.
- Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
- Ensure a lens of health equity when evaluating outcomes and patient experience.
- Establish plan of care and implement interventions in accordance with current evidence-based guidelines.
- Consult with other physicians or CMO as needed.
- Refer patients when care needs are beyond the nurse practitioner's scope of practice and knowledge proficiency.
- Requires education commensurate with Ohio licensure requirements for practice as an APRN.
- Must have current Ohio nursing license, and certificate of authority.
- At least 1 year of previous experience providing comprehensive primary care.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification that is compliant with American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required.
- Maintenance of board certification and state licensure at all times is required.
- Must obtain and maintain a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.
