About the Role

We are a grocery store, coffee shop, and deli that showcases locally made products alongside nationally recognized brands. Our stores are where many local food products meet the DC community for the first time.

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with our wonderful customers
  • Learn about and promote our local food products and menu items, with a focus on products from our Food Business Accelerator
  • Craft specialty beverages
  • Prepare food service items, including making sandwiches, salads, and snacks
  • Maintain product sections and stock grocery shelves
  • Ensure all areas are clean and organized according to company standards
Requirements
  • Enjoy a fast-paced work environment centered around customer satisfaction
  • Be passionate about local food, the business of food, and building community
  • Effectively communicate and build relationships with customers and team members of all backgrounds
  • Be willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges
  • Value punctuality and appreciate when everyone on the team shows up for each other
  • Be able to lift, push/pull, carry, and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • Be able to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and uneven floor and/or surfaces
  • Be able to squat, bend, twist, and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders
  • Be able to use your hands to reach, grip, turn, and perform precision work

USD per hour (Ballston)
