Document Control Specialist

At GCR Professional Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Document Control Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our document control team, you will be responsible for the accurate digitization of sensitive and classified documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and organize classified documents for scanning, ensuring they are free from physical obstructions and damage.
- Carefully handle documents to prevent any degradation or loss of information, employing preservation techniques where necessary.
Scanning Operations:
- Operate document scanners and equipment to digitize classified materials accurately.
- Maintain high-quality standards, ensuring that scanned images are legible and free from distortion.
Metadata Management:
- Assign and input relevant metadata for each document scanned, facilitating effective categorization and retrieval in digital databases.
- Track scanned documents daily and monitor progress throughout the scanning process to update relevant stakeholders.
Data Uploading and Security:
- Upload scanned documents to secure digital repositories, ensuring compliance with Client's document control and security protocols.
Quality Assurance and Review:
- Conduct regular quality checks of scanned documents, verifying accuracy against original materials.
- Address any discrepancies or technical issues promptly, providing solutions that uphold document integrity.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with document control to ensure that scanning operations align with Client's protocols.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager and relevant stakeholders regarding the status of scanning projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in office technology or document management are advantageous.
- Prior experience in document scanning, archiving, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with classified document handling and strict adherence to confidentiality protocols.
- Proficiency in the use of scanning software and document management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Requires an active Secret level or above.
