About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Infection Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Ambulatory Infectious Disease team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients within the Infectious Diseases Clinic, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, compassionate care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear and empathetic information and support.
  • Document patient care and coordinate clinical activities, including medication management, lab results, and patient education.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as needed, and conduct nurse visits for patients with infectious disease-related care.
  • Participate in quality management and quality improvement projects, and demonstrate proficiency in the electronic medical record.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience in a primary care or public health sexually transmitted disease practice.
  • Minimum of one year of patient care coordination experience.
  • Minimum of one year of patient telephone triage experience in an ambulatory outpatient setting.
