Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infection Control

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infection Control Specialist. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

About the Role:
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with acute and chronic infections, including HIV/AIDS.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
  • Conduct telephone-based clinical assessments and provide patient education on medication management, lab results, and infection prevention.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as needed, and perform technical skills such as PICC line management and dressing changes.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to infection control.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience in a primary care or public health setting, preferably in ambulatory infectious disease.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based care model.
  • Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records and experience with patient telephone triage.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Team-based care experience.
  • Ambulatory infectious disease experience, particularly with HIV/AIDS.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
