Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Attending Psychiatrist to join our team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. As a key member of our Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you will provide expert psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and their families in a variety of settings, including crisis, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulations, and direct clinical care to patients and families
  • Consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding assessment, management, and disposition of patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient and family
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care
  • Supervise and teach residents, fellows, and other trainees in the art and science of psychiatry
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within 36 months of hire
  • Medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
  • DEA license (if applicable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, and families
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
