Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures. Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, this position is responsible for preparing patients and equipment for procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures according to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Prepare patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) licensure by the State of Texas Medical Board.
  • ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N) or Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT) certification.
