About the Role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing high-quality nuclear medicine procedures to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Nuclear Medicine Procedures: Conduct nuclear medicine procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by physicians or licensed providers for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols.
  • Maintain Quality and Safety: Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures. Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques.
  • Prepare Patients and Equipment: Prepare patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment. Report issues to management or appropriate department.
  • Ensure Patient Safety: Ensure people are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
  • Maintain Medical Records: Maintain medical imaging records in appropriate system and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Grad of an Accredited Program
  • Experience: Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT), ARRT-N Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N), Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT)
